Educational Assistance Program (EAP): Mrs. Jaclyn Miller

EAP is an extra support program brought to you by the Altoona Area School District, PA Department of Education, and a grant through the Educational Assistance Program (EAP). Baker Elementary is in its third year for this program. These services are provided during the school day. This program will NOT take the place of your child’s classroom reading program. It is extra support with reading skills.

EAP takes place four times per week for 40-60 minutes in grades 1-6. While your child is sharpening his/her Reading Skills with me, the rest of the class will be working in small groups with the classroom teacher to sharpen their Reading Skills as well. It is an individualized period for all students.

We use the Houghton Mifflin Soar to Success Reading Intervention Program, leveled books, and additional teacher-created materials.
