The inclusion program at Baker Elementary will once again be helping students achieve their potential within the regular education classroom. As a school, all teachers and staff members are working together so that all students achieve. Parent support is extremely important in order to assure success. If at any time throughout the year you have questions, please call Miss McNelis at 946-8388 Ext. 4005. Tips For Parents: 1.) Encourage your child to read. Magazines, newspapers, comics...anything he/she enjoys. 2.) Talk with you child about school daily. Ask them what they are doing and if they are having any problems. 3.) Check your child's homework and backpack every day. 4.) Limit TV and video games. These should be rewards. 5.) Encourage your child to be responsible. 6.) Communicate with your child's teacher on a regular basis. Tips For Students: 1.) Read every single day! 2.) Come to school every day. 3.) Use your homework notebook. 4.) Study your spelling words every night. 5.) Let your teacher know if you need extra help or are having any problems. 6.) Be responsible for your belongings, your work, and your actions.
